Coronavirus Statement from Eastcote Hockey Club

REMOVED 27-08-20
I am sure everyone is aware of the Government statement made on Monday evening and the subsequent statement from England Hockey confirming that all hockey activity, both adult and juniors, is suspended until further notice.
Therefore all Eastcote games and training are now cancelled for all.
We have decided to close the Clubhouse, Bar and Sports Hall. Whilst this is not a legal requirement we feel at the moment this is the sensible approach. We will be reopening as soon as we feel it is safe to do so.
The Hockey section AGM set for this Saturday 21st March has been postponed and will provisionally reset for the 26th September to combine with the Company AGM we hold at that time of the year. All those nominated for roles will continue in office until that AGM.
The Champagne evening on 21st is therefore postponed and we will make a decision in the next few weeks about a new date. In the meantime, we have already bought the Champagne centrally and will be asking sponsors to pay for their bottles so that we can all consume when the all clear is given. Sponsors will be receiving an email shortly.
The Volunteers evening on 27th March is also postponed and we will re-arrange this for later in the year to say thank you.
The Junior Festival and Awards set for 16th Aprilwill also need to be postponed and Jo is looking to set a new date when everything gets a bit clearer
Finally the Dinner Dance and Awards event is cancelled. If you have paid for your ticket please contact Jamie Nicholls who will arrange a refund –
We will still be running the awards for the Men's and Women's sections to celebrate our success this year and will publicise the winners in April. We will let you know when they can be presented to the winners.
We have tried to keep everything running but the current advice and decisions from Government and our National sports body makes this impossible.
We hope to reopen the Clubhouse and Eastro as soon as we can to restore some normality but I suspect this maybe a few months away. We will communicate via the Newsletter, Website and Social Media and will get as many of these events rescheduled for later in the year as we can.
Finally if anyone has any issues or needs help please feel free to ask the Eastcote Hockey Family for help and assistance.
I hope to see you all in the not too distant future.
